That's so terrible... Poor Norman, I Hope he recovers OK - and that his owner gets over the shock, too.

The guide dog site obviously allocated me to an Mp based on postcode and I ended up sending a letter to the mid beds MP as I'm literally living on the boundary rather than Bedford. I know this when I got an automated response from Nadine Dorries office. I'm sure she's got other things on her mind right now so I'm not holding out much hope of action there....

Poor Norman, it is horrific that a placid working dog gets attacked. Have just submitted my form to my local MP.

What I didnt understand from the article is - did someone's dog just get into a fight with this poor guide dog? Bad enough if so, if the owner didnt stop it. Or - much, much worse - was it a deliberate attack???

I had an email back asking for my full address. Then a paper letter saying:

"Thank you for your recent email regarding attacks on guide dogs. I can confirm that I have contacted Hertfordshire Constabulary regarding your concerns, and I will contact you again once I receive a reply."

    Its David Gauke MP
    Hertfordshire South West
