not been on line this afternoon, been to up set,
my sister and brother in law came to my house today, just to pick some thing up, terry my brother in law is the one that looks after jasper if i need to go out,
i went to greet them at the car , i didn't realise jasper had followed me out, he ran to the car to see terry, .....he ran into the road to get to the drivers side, i was besides my self, i could see a car over taking bro in laws car, as you can guess i was screaming jasper,i was in a state, i had no recall what so ever, he was so excited tail wagging, bouncing around oblivious to the on coming car :'(

i really did think he was going to get ran over, terry jumped out of the car and managed to get hold of him, i was in shock and floods of tears :'(

i don't even know how he managed to follow me out :'(

Lynne, I am sorry you had a shock but so relieved Jasper is ok. Have you thought about a door slammer? I had one on my heavy front door when the children were toddlers so to avoid any near misses, they are really useful and do not allow your door to stay open at all. Just a thought. Hope you are OK. xx

So glad it ended ok, even though having such a terrible fright is not ok. Poor you - I can totally understand what a horrible shock that would have been , to see him in the road.

But it's all ok now, he's safe, and it will never happen again.

Hope your feeling recovered today Lynne.

For big dogs they can be so quick when they see an opportunity it must have been horrendous for you.

As others have said he's safe and that's what matters. He is probably none the wiser at the trauma he's caused. He was just having fun. ::)
