He chewed his way through a kong.

But it was only a small one, so that's ok :-\, he'll never get through a bigger one...right?

Wow! Is that a puppy Kong?

I'm sure the adult Kong's are much tougher! How old is Charlie?

Yes, it's a puppy kong - I use them to cut down the amount of food I use and the small sizes are really helpful. He is coming up to 6 months. I hope he doesn't get through the bigger ones!

That's some going that! Ha ha.

Out of curiosity, do Lab's, or dogs in general, have adult teeth by 6 months?

I'm not sure about other types of dogs, but if Charlie is typical...he is 6 months in about 10 days time, and he has about half his adult teeth through, but not come all the way yet. He has the biggest ones nearly completely there, but still has the front ones to go yet. I think, anyway - as I'm no expert, but have been watching them very closely. At the rate they are growing, I'd say he'll have the lot way before 7 months.

I'm amazed at Dexter's teeth now, each day I can see they're getting bigger and more coming through. I read the article Pippa put up on the main website about how at nine weeks Lab puppies can get through a chicken bone!

    Good work, Charlie!!! That's dedication.

The black Kongs are the toughest I think. Could be that Charlie is or will be a candidate for a black Kong. ;)

A black kong in chewing! I've seen them, they are called "extreme kongs". We'll see whether Charlie works his way up to a black one. He is on a big adult one this morning, so far, so good....
