Hello, My lab, Thor, was jus diagnosed wth stage 3 heart murmurs. He is 13 months old and developed them in the last 7 months. He was clear at 4 months. They have tested for heart worms and it is negative. We are taking to a cardiologist next week, but I wanted to see if anyone else had had a lab with similar issues. Any guidance? I feel for you. I can imagine how worried you are. Heart problems are very treatable these days, the vets have a huge array of drugs to help. I used to have a dog diagnosed with an horrendous heart murmur and irregular heartbeat after a trauma she suffered, she lived a good active life for another 4yrs, and it wasn't her heart that got her in the end. Good luck with the cardiologist. Let us know how you get on.
