Im here looking for some information and support as I have just been told today our 10 year old Labrador will go blind.
We want to do everything we can to help her and keep her happy.I will do a search and Thankyou
    for any advice.

Hi Rubygill, welcome to the forum :)

I don't have any direct experience of SARDS, but I've met a lot of senior dogs who have lost their sight to other conditions like cataracts, and they all been very happy souls still. I think a lot of dogs adjust quite easily to losing their sight, especially when they reach an age that they're starting to slow down anyway, because they have such great hearing and smell to fall back on (and possibly relied on more in the first place anyway).

Hopefully some more posters will be along with their experiences too :)
