    I''m so looking forward to learning lots and being able to contribute where I have something sensible to say. The training of my 3 year old working Springer "Flora" ( frequently known as "Muddy floors" or "That Flora" by my daughters black lab as he watches her antics with an air of superiority) is a work in constant progress! Happy New Year to all my fellow dog enthusiasts :)

    Welcome. Will be good to hear all about ESS. I used to have GSPs but have gone to the dark side as I thought Labs might be easier, they are not!

    Thank you...Labs in my experience are definitely easier in many ways than Springers...Done both and have often queried my judgement as regards my love affair with spaniels!

    Tell us a bit more about Flora. What sort of training do you do with her? Do you work her? And we love photos! :D

    Hi from me and Molly. My first dog as an adult, back in 1980, was a Springer, a rescue with boundless energy but lovely nature.

    Thank you all soooo much for such a warm welcome to this forum. I'm struggling a bit with the technology and haven't quite worked out how to do photos yet. More to follow soon on my story with Flora but time for bed now...please make allowances as I'm a working springer spaniel owner so completely and permanently shattered! :)
