Hi all! Getting ready to welcome our new "kid" at 8 weeks. He's a lovely red we have named Tabasco. My human kids are 4 yrs and 22 months, so prepared to have my hands very full. I was raised on a horse ranch & always had dogs so I'm aware of what I'm volunteering for!
I've read Pippa's Happy Puppy Handbook and Total Recall, huge fan of both and excited to see how we do with clicker training.
Will be signing in from time to time for questions and moral support. Will see if I end up needing counseling, or just an increase in wine consumption! Cheers! 8)

Hi to you and Tabasco from Holly (21 month yellow lab) and me. That's a great name for a fox red Lab :) I hope that you and Tabasco have many happy years together.

Welcome :D With a puppy and small children I think the wine consumption will definitely be up! But pleasure lies ahead as they get a wee bit older :)

Welcome from Minnesota! I have three dogs in age from 4 months (Daisy - yellow lab), through Henry (3.5 yr Golden mix), to Molly (14 yr old yellow), plus house cats, a barn cat, a couple horses, and a hubby. I think your life will be crazier than mine, though. It's going to feel like having triplets, I think! Stock up your wine cellar... And enjoy the forum - it's a gold mine of good info, advice, and support.
