Hi everyone, I don't actually own a Labrador but three spaniels! Two beautiful springer girls, Alice and Caddie, and Murffi a young working cocker who is a rescue dog. I love gundog training, both springers have completed grade one, two and three of The Gundog Club, and I now work my dogs on several local shoots here on Exmoor. I will try and put up a photo of my trio. Here they are, Murffi, Caddie and Alice.
Re: Hello from Exmoor Hi Heidrun! Welcome to the forum. Lovely to see your trio. They are beautiful! (especially Alice of course!) Hope you are not snowed in down there on the moors! Do you know the breeding of your rescue cocker? She is very pretty. Pippa
Re: Hello from Exmoor Hi Pippa, Thanks for the welcome! No snow here on Exmoor, thank God. The cocker is a he, with the most spectacular pedigree. I have his KC papers, he was bred by Mr Peter Jones and his sire is Maesydderwen Scimitar. He came to me last summer when he was a year old after 3 (!) failed pet homes. He is a real handful but training him is huge fun. Caddie totally ignores him but Alice adores him.
Re: Hello from Exmoor :-[ ooops. Well he is a very beautiful chap and its great that he has found his way into good hands at last.
Re: Hello from Exmoor Hi Heidrun, and welcome! So lovely to see Alice all grown up - I remember her as a tiny puppy! Sam.
Re: Hello from Exmoor Hi Sam, Thanks for the welcome. It is really hard to believe that Alice will be 5 this year! Here she is competing in a working test.
Re: Hello from Exmoor Oh goodness - that makes me feel really old! That's a lovely picture - a really nice sharp action shot. Clever dog - and clever photographer too!
