My name is Deidra and I have 2 dogs. Sage a year old yellow lab and Mia a 2 year old Blue heeler. I had 2 labs before, Tank and Bentley, due to circumstances they had to find homes. Tank ended up coming back in horrible shape and after takin him to the vet I found out he had a burst spleen. After going through options I had to make the choice to have him PTS. It was the hardest choice I have ever had to make. I may have had to rehome him but I never stopped loving him. I had him for 9 years! It was in his best interest to be rehomed due to problems. Bentley is LOVING life at his new home. Probably enjoys it there better than he did with me. I had my heeler at the same time but she could not be rehomed due to her own issues. I kept saying "no more labs" but once my grandma got her lab I realized I need one. I wanted to stick with herders but I saw Sages ad on Craigslist and couldn't pass her up. I got her 3 weeks ago and the first week was Ruff. We still haven't really bonded but we will in time I'm sure :) Since she has gotten here it has helped with my anxiety and other issues greatly. My heeler isn't as cuddly. She is like a cat and only cuddles on her terms, lol.

I'm sorry for how long this got, lol. But Sage pics(hopefully it works :p)

Welcome to the forum! Sage looks like a lovely girl :) Hope you recover from your injury quickly!

Must've been very difficult to cope with having to put Tank to sleep. That is really a sad situation and it's so hard to say that goodbye. Good thing he came back to you so he could get the vet attention he needed.

Hope you enjoy being part of the forum :)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Sometimes life is really hard and things don't go the way we would like, but we just do the best we can. Sage looks very pretty and I'm sure you'll bond properly in time.
