hello. Me, my husband and my two boys (5&3) brought home Luna, our black lab pup in March when she was 9 weeks. We live at the foot of the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland and look out over the Irish Sea, we are surrounded by fields and places for a puppy to play so I had decided my long wait for my first puppy was over and I went for it. The last 6 weeks have been manic! Housetraining while I had a house full of guests over Easter along with quite a lot of nipping, biting and overexcited behaviour have made for a busy time. I was so relieved to find this forum and connect with other people going through the same whilst being reassured by others who had been through it. Things seem to be calming down for the moment. I have been doing a lot of work with her, going to puppy classes, which she loves and doing a couple of sessions of homework most days! We walk round the fields that surround the house and play hide and seek, I am so rewarded by her I can't believe I didn't go for it earlier.
Welcome to the forum to you and Luna from Hattie 8 years and our rescue boy Charlie 5 years. Sounds like a beautiful part of NI you live in. Glad you are enjoying Luna so much, great times ahead. Hope your boys are loving Luna too It's lovely for children to grow up with dogs. I have four children and we live in Hampshire. Helen xx
