Just wanted to say hello to everyone here. First time on the site. We have had Labs in our family for the last 18 years (yellow and black, both girls). Got them both from a breeder in Mt. Cindy Frost of Marcin Labs. Just lost our Cookie on Xmas eve. She will be missed.

Will be looking for a new addition soon, would love a chocolate male. I am checking all the local breeders in NY/NJ/LI region.

Will be posting some puppy questions later today on the appropriate section.

    Regards to all,

    Rich

Hi Rich and welcome to the forum from me and my 20 month old chocolate girl, Juno. So sorry that you lost your precious girl, Cookie but it's good to hear that you now feel ready to welcome a new puppy into your life.

Feel free to ask any question you like, it's very friendly here on the forum and lots of advice and experience. I thought a useful article for you would be one on Labrador health to help you in your search for a breeder. It is written with the UK in mind but the health concerns are pretty much the same on both sides of the Atlantic. There's lots of other information on our sister site - the Labrador site.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I look forward to getting to know folks here and starting our journey with a new family member.

I do have a question and maybe it's not the correct place to ask. I'm trying to post a question in the training section and keep getting a block error and it's not allowing me to post. Any ideas?
