A black male pup who will be called Brodie, I pick him up on the 3 January. I have had lab's before but work commitments have prevented me from having a dog for a few years. A lifestyle change now enables me to have a wee friend again to enjoy my move to rural Perthshire.

Hi Karen, One of my lab's was with me for many years whilst I worked in Germany. Lots of great forrests to enjoy exploring.

This is where reading the Technical & Help section might be useful
You need to use a third party to host your photos such as Flickr, Photobucket or Imgur or something else similar, then copy the BBC code it gives you to paste in the text box. Depending if you are on laptop or ipad or phone, some of the hosts are better than others. My current favourite is photobucket.
Hope you work it out, as we would love to see a photo of that little bundle in your avatar.
Lilly and I reside in the N.E. section of the Kingdom of Fife, and we have another member possibly quite near to you too.

How exciting waiting to collect a new puppy . Photos have to be hosted through a site like Flickr or Imgur etc. There's help on the Technical tab under 'Forum'. All very easy once you've done it once. Have you read Pippa's book The Happy Puppy Handbook? If not get it quick. I found it invaluable for help and advice not just in the preparation for a puppy but in those early weeks and months. Like you I went sometime between dogs and found the book very easy to read, absorb and put in practise.

Yes indeed, we live right on the doorstep of the Taunus forest - we walk out of our door and into hundreds of square miles of hills and forest. Where did you live in Germany?

Everyone in the family is going to put the name they would like in a box and we will pick one out. The only thing I have said I must like the name before it goes in the box. No photo yet but will post one when I have one. I can't wait. Yes I am like a big kid

We had four names Rosie, Poppy, Pepper and Tatze.

The first three were my names but I let my son choose in the end!

I STILL want a little female called Poppy!!

It's a bit like having a human baby, you quickly forget all the bad bits ;):D
