    Good evening/day everyone!

Today we have made contact with a Breeder and hopefully will have our newest family member late in October.

I have no doubt I will be picking everyone's brains in the coming months!!

    Dan

Hi Dan and welcome to the forum from me and my tribe. Do you know what colour the puppy will be? Are you hoping for a boy or a girl? Do you have a name yet?

    Morning everyone!

We are having a chocolate lab, girl (my daughter hates the word bitch...). As for names, a 'bone' of contention at the moment!!

    Suggestions??? :)

We have 3 labs, one choc boy, Benson and 2 black labs, Bramble, and Casper.

We chose Bramble for our black girl, but I rather like Bracken as a name for a chocolate , a nice earthy outdoorsy name :) I also like Hazel, Skye and Indie, l and love the name Luna! :)

Hi Dan, welcome to the forum from me and Cassie, who's now 16 months. I'm in Herefordshire, so not far away from you.
Very exciting for you, getting a puppy.

    Welcome to the forum :)

If the puppy has a registered name (ie with the breeder's prefix) that might provide a starting point. For example my first dog was 'Chergari Merry Troubador'. Chegari is a group of gypsies (sorry if not the PC term...oblivious Aussie here!). His mother was called Gypsy. So we gave him a Romanian name - Nicolae. Our second dog is 'Jarkk Knight To Dream', so we named him after a character from A Midsummer Night's Dream - Oberon.

    Anyway, just one idea! :)

    Hello all,

I'm near Bridgend for the South Wales people and I like the idea of using the kennel name. Not sure what exactly that will be yet, of course, but it's a great starting point!

Welcome to you from Mags, Tatze, Mollie and Keir from Manchester UK :hi:

Tatze is my pet dog, a black Lab and she's four years old. Tatze means 'paw' in German.

Mollie is my fourth Guide Dog puppy, a black Lab who is eleven months old. Keir is my fifth Guide Dog puppy, a yellow Golden Retriever/Flatcoat cross and he's thirteen weeks old.

    Hello again all,

Thanks for the warm welcome from everyone. We will be going to choose our pup in two weeks time. Hopefully we will be able to single out one from the 9 available!
