Thank you very much for the forum. We are the first time dog owner. Have a wonderful 7 month old chocolate lab. He is on RAW feed since we got him. Seeking for some advice on how much we should feed him since he tends to threw up in the morning.

Hi there and welcome to the forum :)

Some dogs vomit a little bit in the early morning before they are fed. Feeding earlier can sometimes help but you have to be careful not to get into a spiral of earlier and earlier breakfasts!

If your dog is throwing up after eating is that after his only main meal of the day? If he throws up then (sorry this bit is gross!) then eats it again, that's not uncommon but it might be worth thinking about what you are feeding and how you are presenting it.

As far as that and quantities go, you might find my raw feeding guide helpful

Thank you so much for the quick response. We feed him twice a day. Once in the morning about 7am and once in the evening around 7:00 pm. Mixture of tripe, veg and meat. Usually some bones (chicken back, turkey neck or beef bones) during lunch time. About 2.5-3 lbs total. Is that not enough? He is about 65 lbs now at 7 month.

Is he throwing up before or after his meal (you can find quantities in that guide I linked to above)

always before his breakfast. We are going to see his vet, unfortunately they do not like raw feed.
