Do you find you get lots of "help" when you are doing a spot of gardening? Lady seems to be joined at the hip with me when I'm in the garden which is really lovely but can be a bit of a hindrance when she tries to help with the hoeing, planting, pruning (lower branches only), digging (she's very good at that), turning the compost heaps and shredding. She retreats to a safe distance though for lawn mowing because as we all know, the lawn mower, like the vacuum cleaner is definitely out to get her! ;D
Re: Help in the Garden ;D Oh yes David , can relate to all of this , I simply dont know what I would do without my gardening assistant , pruning low branches is his forte too
Re: Help in the Garden We find our two little helpers do a great job keeping the compost heap turned over ;D Helen x
Re: Help in the Garden My helper is particularly keen on any work I have to do in the pond. For a labrador, she is extremely good about not going in the pond, but when I am cleaning out duckweed or blanketweed she feels the need to help me... and on occasions she then 'falls in' trying to grab some weed to drag out :
Re: Help in the Garden Well, if anyone needs to scarify their lawn, I have got a cocker you can borrow ... ;D

Re: Help in the Garden
Love his markings on his ears and head too.
Do you mean the mud? He does have darker, honey coloured 'points' and little spots on the top of his head too. Plus ginger eyebrows. And he just loves mud....(in true Lab style).
