To the continuing and never-ending list of things Simba ate (I should start a whole thread of that topoc ) we add... ....at LEAST two cups of honey (probably quite a bit more) from the bucket of honey I (!!!!!) inadvertently left on the counter when I went out this morning. Came home to a puddle of dog vomit and a dog who is currently streaking around the backyard, pouncing manically around the snow... At least it isn't toxic to him.... I don't think. Large quantities not so great, obviously....probably put on 5 lbs in the course of a couple hours, mind you.... Seriously, I CHECKED before I left.....I think the Lambies have cast a spell on me....
Re: Here we go again Oh Simba really ??? Could one of your children have left it out, I know I get blamed for everything in our house, nobody else could ever do anything that silly here : I get to a point when I think I must have done it Hope the outcome isn't too messy

[/quote] So dogs get sugar-rushes too then Made a "Christmas ham" today which consisted of boiling the boneless joint in fat coke for 2 hours then roasting it basted with maple syrup and wholegrain mustard. On the BBC good food website I frequently use, this got a very high scoring, although one comment did say she would be careful not to give it to her 3 year old again, as the child woke at 2am chattering madly sugar-rush style to herself ;D and didn't sleep for 3 hours ;D I do hope it wasn't all my fault by posting that pic of Baaaa-ry - I wonder if I have been mind-controlled......?
Re: Here we go again I think that we're seeing evidence of widespread mind control here. Baaa-ry made you leave that honey out. Since I don't have to experience it directly, I find the mental picture of a sugar-charged Simba quite hilarious ;D His food thievery skills are a model to Labradors everywhere.

Also found the mental picture of a sugar rushed Simba leaping in the snow funny. Charliie sends a high 5 paw... ;D ;D ;D
Re: Here we go again He should get some kind of award, for sure... : And I can't blame the kids. I was the last one out, and I did check....as I look at possible negative outcomes there is talk that too much honey can cause diarrhea...great....
Re: Here we go again Oh Lisa.....I would put it past him to open the cupboard ,help himself , and then 'plant' the jar ( especially if Obi's influence is involved) to make you question yourself.....your boy,he's a legend isn't he!well, that's one word for it!dont forget there weren't too many ill effects from the fat he drank...he's got a pretty strong tummy and if he's sicked up then he got rid of a lot of it!! Hope the manifestations today haven't been too spectacular
