Hi, my name is miriam. I have been thinking and dreaming about a black lab called oscar. I have done my resesrch and found the puppy for me. But i cant say yes. I need some advice. The reason i cant say yes is that i live alone and dont have someone to take over the care, walking etc, when i am sick or if something happens with me. Can anyone help? Thanks for your feedback.

Hi and welcome. Unless you have a chronic illness where you are expecting to not be able to manage your dog, most of us juggle everyday life situations with a mixture of family, friends, kennels and day care as back up. A bigger consideration when you are on your own is how will the pup manage when you are out for prolonged periods, eg work , shopping, socialising. That needs planning and a similar back up plan . Best wishes.

    Hi Miriam, welcome!

Try not to worry too much. It's good to have a plan but, as Edp says, friends and family and doggie daycares/professional dog walkers are all options to help when you can't be as available for your pup. :)
