Hello everyone. I am the proud owner of a Labrador Destroyer (oops I mean retriever). He is registered under the majestic name of " Mr Montmorency Merrythought" (Monty to his friends) Monty is a fox red lab with a white nose, chest flash and toes. He is just 12 weeks old. He already stands 20 inches to his shoulder & 22kg, it looks as if he is going to be "leggy" rather than solid. I am 55 years old and Monty is my 3rd Lab and I have also owned a german short haired pointer, spaniels and terriers. All were working/family pet, rather than show dogs. I found this site when googling for information on puppy overbites as unfortunately he does have a problem with his lower jaw. I will do a couple of posts about this as I get more info as it may be helpful to others. All my dogs have been on the raw meat, bone & veg diet and have all thrived. Perhaps I may be able to post some helpful tips (and get some) I look forwards to contributing to the forum. April Dawn
Welcome along to the forum! I would certainly be interested to hear more about his overbite. What has the vet said, what did the breeder say? Is it likely to rectify as he grows, or get more pronounced? Have they has to remove his lower canines or are they not digging in? Sorry for so many questions, but I do love to learn more!
