just found this site. I have a 14 year old yellow boy. Looking forward to hearing advice on taking care of older labs. He has started slowing down a lot in the last month.
Hi and welcome! We love older labs.. they are such delightful, loyal friends. He will need extra love and lots of cuddles with you, and extra time so he can go for slow walks with lots of sniffing. A comfortable bed will help his old joints. He may need a bit of mollycoddling with his food and start to expect all kinds of treats!
Warm welcome from me and my two dogs Like Karen, I also adore older dogs , my last Lab left me four and a half years ago . Shorter walks were the order of the day as arthritis was a problem for mine as they got old but then keeping them mobile can actually aid arthritis , as long as they don't hurl themselves around too much , the spirit being willing
Hi and welcome to the forum from Fred, Annie and me. Fred and Annie are 2 black Labs. When my old boy Robbie got arthritis, he use to potter around the garden at his own speed. He loved lots of cuddles. What is you dogs name? Have you a photo of him for us to see?
Hi from me and Juno my chocolate girl. Tell us more about your boy, and some photos would be lovely. Photos have to hosted on sits like Flickr, Imgur etc., but there's help on the technical, pages.
