We got into a bit of trouble this morning.

We left Homer outside the little local supermarket while popping in to get some things for dinner, we were taking a bit long to choose nice wine and cheese. I heard a bit of an exclamation, next I noticed a rather familiar dog wrapping himself around my legs. I looked up to see some people came round the corner of the isle not looking amused!

Homer had slipped out of his collar and came to find us. There must have been something that upset him or gave him a fright for him to pull out of his collar. I'd rather the embarrassment of him Coming into the shop to find us than the alternative.

Ooooops, He's not going to be left out of sight again.

Glad he found you :) Maybe he was also having a surreptitious look for the pet food aisle ;)

Definitely a good idea not to leave a dog tied up alone in a public place. It's too risky (eg kids approaching your dog...) plus I think it is stressful for the dog. The way we do it is that one of us waits outside with Obi while the other has the shopping responsibility. If I have to shop alone I just don't take Obi.

Eeek, well it could have been worse!! I live in a place with 0% recorded crime, but I still don't leave my dogs outside even the local teeny tiny shop, because I'm terrified of someone walking off with them. Pure-bred dogs are a valuable commodity. Lesson learned and no harm came of it, so all's well that ends well :)

He found us in the cheese isle - cheese being his favourite treat! Won't leave him again, for sure!

Clever boy to find you, hope you rewarded his with some of the cheese:D Perhaps you don't live in the UK as we tend not to leave dogs outside shopes anymore as they can be stolen, one man left his dog for 60 seconds and it was stolen, so sad.
