Puzzle has been very hormonal the past few days. Yesterday at training she went for a couple of dogs that sniffed her, bared teeth and growling. Both were male dogs, one intact other unknown as we have never been in the same class as it before. Other dogs sniffed her fine and she was fine with them. Then today my brother had a party, all with people that she has met before and have never showed any aggression towards before. She barked at everyone and attempted to bite one of them when they tried to stroke her which meant a prompt removal from the room and taken to an upstairs bedroom. If it was not raining and lightening i would have put her outside as it is very warm and humid at the moment. This is a very sudden change in behaviour which is very unwelcome and i hope it is a one off.
Re: Hormonal Sounds like it could be hormones as my mums dog gets really bad PMS and has bitten twice around her season. It could also be the hot weather and thundery atmosphere that's put her on edge and gotten her all freaked out.

[/quote] She is overdue her season if we are going on that she came in at 6months old, she is overdue by a month and a half so it is currently a waiting game. that is true, it has been very hot and humid here today. She has been out all day today SAR training. There is currently a thunderstorm going about its business about 30 miles away, a quite one at least but with bright lightening.
Re: Hormonal I agree, sounds like a hormone/thunderstorm combo. Poor Puzzle (and poor you). Hope she comes into season soon.
