I took the Small Black Dog for a late afternoon walk yesterday, but it was really far too hot to go far. In the end we went about 200yds out of the house, across the railway line and into the first field where there was a nice patch of shade cast by a tall and leafy Aspen. I plonked down on a comfy patch of clover in the shade of the tree and SBD lay down between my outstretched legs pushed in tight to my left leg. We shared an apple together and Lady then polished off the core. We sat together like this for about 20 mins, then we got up and ambled home. Lovely. 8)
Re: Hot weather and quality bonding time I did similar yesterday. I sat on a stone by the river while Tatze played and played in the water - I was so annoyed I hadn't taken my camera!
Re: Hot weather and quality bonding time Beautiful! I'm really loving our early morning walks at the moment - with the nice weather I've been taking Penny out earlier than normal. It's lovely and so peaceful at 7am. On a side note I hope you crossed the railway safely!!! (Me and OH work with the railway and he does level crossings lol)
Re: Hot weather and quality bonding time That sounds so peaceful and soothing. I take meg out early about 6.30am, and usually lunchtime and then later in afternoon. I don't at moment cos it's too hot. I sit in garden with her in shade and it is lovely, she stretches out and sleeps, I sit there and read with one ear on dad inside.
Re: Hot weather and quality bonding time Lovely and very sensible too David , I sat in a rock pool with our two yesterday morning at 8 o`clock, bliss

Re: Hot weather and quality bonding time Ah David ,had a little tear reading your post ,in a good way ;D
