My Gavin (Cavalier) used to get a lot of ticks. His brother (Callum) never got one, even 'tho the went everywhere together. They were easy to spot on the Cavs because, although it is long, their fur is not dense.

Tatze's fur is so dense when I scratch her my fingers never really touch skin, just more fur!

How do you find ticks in such fur?

You'll find them - just work your way from back to front, kind of 'rustling' your fingers through the fur.

    Sophie is our tick spotter.
I think its just about being tactile and noticing little bumps under the fur.

I usually notice because his fur isn't lying right. They create little bumps even when they're quite small. You get the hang of it :)

They are surprisingly easy to find, puzzle had her first one today, under her chin. They are very well camouflaged on fox red labs

They are very easy to spot on Black dogs. Ticks are horrible and make my skin crawl

I spotted Buddy's first tick today- on his ear and was pleased that I'd read advice on the forum about the Tom O Twister tool (and ordered one from Amazon!) as it was really easy to remove. I've searched for more but not found any, so hopefully the Frontline I've just applied will help. I hate them too!
