My pup is almost 9 months old. She came in to season, rather unexpectedly, around 29 December (whilst being boarded, sod's law!) and she is still bleeding. Every time I think she's stopped I find myself wiping up blood drips, albeit now fairly watery. I know every dog is different, but how long might I expect the bleeding to continue? And do subsequent seasons tend to be similar to the first? Our vet has actually recommended that we wait until after Lula's second season to have her spayed, which will allow her to mature and develop more.
