jasper is 14 month old, how much sleep should he be having ? yesterday he was awake from 7 30, had a run at 8 30, a vet visit at 10 30, an off lead walk 11 15 to 12 30,.....never slept from, them to is last half an hour walk/ run 7 45 to 8 15,.....went to sleep at 8 45, ....what can i do to help him sleep more, i am sure he is not having enough sleep
Re: how much sleep does a dog need ? Lynne, I am sure if Jasper needed any more sleep he would, he is a fit young dog and obviously gets all the zzzzzzz's he needs . As he gets older you will probably find he does sleep more so don't worry just enjoy him

Lynne I think you've always told us Jasper doesn't sleep much so I wouldn't worry if you aren't seeing a behaviour change...he must be just scared of missing something! ;D he's well excercised and not hyper somimwouldnt worry.I used to worry the other way,That Dex sleeps too much but I don't think he does now ,he just sleeps if there's nothing going on,then he's up and at it when some action starts! ;D xxx

Re: how much sleep does a dog need ? He`s fit and healthy Lynne , dont worry . I used to worry that Sam slept too much , he will exercise very hard but then sleep for hours , they are all different in their requirements , but Jasper if fine x
Re: how much sleep does a dog need ? Amy is asleep most of the time in the house now! Even hubby was doing some DIY and she sat watching him! Wouldn't have ever thought that would happen last March when we first got her. We have just got some cushions for the sofas and she won't sit on the sofas now! Guess she will get used to them soon and get them muddy!
