So, Otis was castrated about ten days ago now, but the strange thing is today he has been humping cushions ?? So whats going on ? He has also been quite a lot naughtier than usual, he has become a champion counter surfer, and Im constantly retreiving things from him.He had quite a few days where he was very sleepy, but these past couple of days he has been quite active, wanting to chew everything. Has anyone else noticed behaviour changes after castration, will the humping stop ?
Re: Humping ! My Lab made humping movements on my other Lab but no lipstick out! This stopped immediately he was castrated a few weeks ago BUT he did become more lively and naughtier, so much so I thought about going to the vet and asking if we could have them back! I think he may be calming down a wee bit the last few days, but it was very noticeable that he had changed for the worst when he was castrated.
Re: Humping ! I seem to remember my Vet saying that it takes a little time for the testosterone to completely leave the body , so not to expect instant results . Looking back , I think one of mine took about 2 or 3 weeks before this behaviour stopped ?
Re: Humping ! I hadn't seen Charlie hump since we got him, he is almost 3 years old and castrated before we rescued him at 9 months and he has started humping my boys legs about 2 weeks ago. They are not thrilled.
