Gorgeous. Dogs really are good therapy for kids. I work with kids aged 8+ with needs such as behaviour, troubled / complex families, ADHD, autism, self harm, self esteem, sexual health, sexual abuse etc etc and sometimes take Harley to sessions with me. The kids all love her and open up whilst sat on the floor cuddling her :D

Sigh....what a lovely dog. I'd love to do that whole visiting people and take Charlie thing...if I'm ever in hospital, I'd love a visit from a lovely labrador. That would make my day, I think.

I even looked up the requirements. I mean, Charlie would love it - saying hello to people all day, and Charlie can make anyone smile. :) :) :)

However....in looking up the requirements it said something along the lines of "remember old people can have tissue paper fragile skin, and dogs must be able to be trusted around lines, tubes...." I stopped reading at that point. Not for my Charlie then. Visions of him legging it with the drip stand - grinning over his shoulder, hoping the sick person will give chase! And it's impossible to stop him bouncing on beds...no, not for Charlie.

He'll have to find another way to contribute to society!

    That's just gorgeous.

My two would probably behave along the same lines as charlie only worse.

Still as laughter is the best medicine two dogs running riot in a hospital might help some whilst giving me a heart attack. ;D ;D ;D

Fab dog - love the ID tag too :)

Our dog club has a 'Pets as Therapy' program in which dogs visit hospitals and nursing homes. I would love to do it. But Obi would also have a field day with the tubes ::) Maybe one day.....
