I am so proud of Louis

    He is sitting on command. Also do it without reward (although I always make a fuzz about him when he does it). Started with clicker and treats.

    We have also practiced down which he does with click and treat but he seems to be unsure when to sit and when to down. How do I make that clear? Suppose I need to include visual and oral cue for both?

    Lovely boy!

    Yes, the visual clue is usually hand raised towards you for sit and hand flat and down for down.

    Only thing better than puppy pics is puppy VIDS!!

    He is soooo scrumptious, and a good boy!! :)

    We use the same hand signs as Boogie. Pup's will pick it up really quickly, especially if there's a good reward. After a little while we found that we could get H to sit or lie down with just hand signals.
