We took Harvey to a new location for his walk this afternoon. It was a large common with massive areas of beach-like sand - strange for a place in the West Midlands! - and some ponds. Well, we had a great time with a gentle paced stroll (us, not Harvey!) meeting lots of new people and their dogs (and a couple of abandoned horses ). Eventually we made it to the pond and, after some initial salmon-leaping in the shallows Harv finally went a little deeper and did some swimming. Then he came out of the pond, raced around the bank, and leaped back in again He even went to retrieve a thrown stick (although I think I should have deferred doing this until he had had a little more practice as a spluttered a little picking it up and swimming at the same time : ). PS: I did actually manage a short mobile 'phone video. How the heck do I post these from Dropbox? Using the same method as used for photos doesn't seem to work. Rachael? Anyone? ???

Re: I can swim! I can swim! I'm not sure I managed a video from dropbox. I think that is why I started a Flickr account, although its actually easier and quicker to upload to YouTube - that would be my recommendation. Good lad Harvey! There will be no stopping you now ;D

Re: I can swim! I can swim! It is a bit slow to download (but once it has buffered it's fine). Anyway, he looks to be a good strong confident swimmer, and having lots of fun!

Re: I can swim! I can swim! I just watched your video.....Harvey is ELATED!!! It filled me with joy just watching it! How lovely. My Cooper (5 months) has only gone into those little kid pools and he just stands in them....but I'm hoping he will enjoy it as much as Harvey once our Summer season is over here on Cape Cod and dogs are again allowed on beaches!!! Thanks for the video....it was wonderful!
