My rescue lab is so well behaved at home that this didn't cross my mind! I have planted 3 strawberry plants in a trough and they were doing really well. I went to pick the 3 berries that were ready yesterday, and you guessed it, they were no more! So Finn likes strawberries so much he stole them off the plant, oh well, netting now in front of the plants and he is peeved he can't get to them any more. Do wonder what will happen to the chillies when they are ready!!!

Last year Indie ate all the green strawberries before they even had a chance to go red, and picked all the unripe apples off the tree and put them under the sofa :( we have a big fence round the strawberries this year but caught her poking her tongue through and 'hooking' them through the fence yesterday! Not holding out much hope for any left for us this year either...

So I will need to protect the raspberry canes as well? Darn it. :)

Willow loves a ripe strawberry, fresh from the plant :D

I've trained the adults not to go on my veg area. The puppy, however - that's a work in progress :)

Ginger used to eat wild grapes, until we learned that grapes were bad for dogs.

Ok, so maybe I can be cross for a long time! Just looked to see what Finn was up to in the garden, his nose was under the netting I had put in front of the strawberry plants and we now have none. Even the green ones are gone. He wins!!!!

You can grow strawberries in hanging baskets I did consider it but I know my lot would go and get the step ladders.
