... I should be impressed or start weeping.

A certain small lab appears to have worked out how to open doors.

She worked out weeks ago that our bedroom door opens with just a little bounce, as the catch doesn't catch properly. But I thought that was it.

This afternoon I watched her run out of the lounge, into the hall, and jump up at the cloakroom door handle. She got it open, and emerged very proudly carrying a sponge. She loves sponges.... so satisfying to shred.

She has tried repeating this trick several times this afternoon, and it worked for her about one time in three. Taking the gambling effect into account, I reckon that means I could have a committed door opener on my hands. ???

    Ho hum.

Mother care multi purpose locks are very good. Got them on the kitchen cabinets, but I can see them spreading. :(

Charlie is showing similar skills. He takes pride in demonstrating that he is the match for any pen or crate latch that you'd like to put in front of him...must get a vid of it, it's funny. Sort of. ::)

I'm hoping that she is slow to generalise, and it takes a while before she works out that this method will be good for any door...

From now on, I'm going to have to investigate all silences!!

Julie, if you do post a vid of Charlie opening his pen, I'm going to make sure Brew is not sitting next to me on the sofa when I watch it. ;D ;D

Barley learnt how to open the back door within two days of having, only because he wanted to escape from human interaction :(

He learnt how to open the kitchen sliding door within a week, he learnt that food came out of it and we have a bungee holding it shut.

He transferred the door opening trick to my grandma's except he let himself in not out, quite often letting another dog go in first making it look like they opened the door ::)

Charlie can open the kitchen bin by banging it with his chin, had to get a pedal one in the end ::) He is a master at opening all doors, back door, cupboard doors but he can't close them ;D x
