Holly's normal daily routine starts with the alarm clock at 0630. She gallops upstairs to wake us up, goes out to do her business then has breakfast.

This morning we decided to have a lie in. We didn't set the alarm clock as we expected Holly would wait until she heard it before starting her day. Seven o clock came, and she trotted upstairs to see what was happening. We stayed quiet, and she trotted back to her basket.

We got up at 0715 and one of my slippers was missing. We found it in her basket. We think she took it as a little protest for breaking her daily routine.

    Back to normal tomorrow!

Aw ww.. Kind of sweet really! :)

I find that if we want a lie-in, the best way to guarantee hours of peace is to let the dog out for a pee, give her her breakfast, and then allow her into bed with us. She doesn't want to get up, even when we are ready to!! ;D

Hope your slipper is ok :)

Dog on the bed is the secret to sleep-ins for us too :)

We have developed a 'shared ownership' arrangement for Paul's croc clogs. During the day they are on Paul's feet. During the evening they are in Pongo's mouth. It is quite clear that the puppy considers them 'his', which he kindly lends to his daddy during the day.

Quite amazing that they have survived 10 weeks of this and still going strong...

    Absolutely works for us!

Crocs are very much shared footwear in this house. Everyone uses them, no-one claims that they are actually theirs, and its the first item Lilly will rush out with when trying to get our attention.......which is okay, as we don't always spot it, and better them than a pair of leather shoes or a football boot ::)

The slipper was intact. We've been teaching Holly to fetch our slippers when we come home. When she finds them she gives them a good shake to make sure they're dead, then brings them to us.
