Is this a normal, known thing? Monty, my 13 week old ESS goes absolutely ballistic for ice cubes!! I was giving him stuffed Kongs, but frozen cubes of water do just about the same and is a lot cheaper! Or is he just odd?! ???

[/quote] Nope,I was always a great advocate of these in our teenage years,we live in the Middle East and it gets HOT in the Summer here ( pretty warm in the Winter to be honest ;D) Ice cubes served 2 purposes, keeping him cool being one but also distracting him from seeking stones from the garden to clack around his teeth...the ice cubes seemed to satisfy this need more safely!
Re: Ice Cubes Boston has always loved ice cubes, he chases them around the kitchen like hockey pucks, often they end up under the fridge before he manages to eat them! In the Summer I like to freeze a bowl of water/kibble/peanut butter and that keeps him busy for ages!
Re: Ice Cubes I'm sat upstairs working and I can hear him playing ice hockey in the kitchen! He's whining at it, which probably means he too has lost it under something!!
Re: Ice Cubes I have all kinds of zipper bags in the freezer for different flavors of ice cubes for the dog. : ones with kibble - fruit smoothie ones - ones with canned food - ones with hotdogs - Bella loves them all!!! ;D

Re: Ice Cubes I do like to play with the garnishes in my G&T. Can't say I've ever tried hotdog, though
Re: Ice Cubes ;D ;D ;D love me a good G&T ;D ;D ;D but usually I'm a Whiskey girl if I'm drinking the hard stuff...and a wino by default The fruit smoothie cubes - hubby and I did a catering event for the chamber, and they had cheese and fruit trays...and at the end of the event the leftover food was just going to be thrown out....so our friends from the chamber and we ended up boxing up all the leftovers - so I came home with cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple...LOTS of it...and we couldn't eat it fast enough...so after a couple of days I just got out my blender and whizzed it all up together...and while I did have a couple smoothies out of it...I make the smoothie cubes for Bella too. she loved the fruit, and she gets all pogo-stick bouncy when I get that zipper bag out. I did one tray of straight smoothie, and one tray with a kibble tucked into it too. She loves them! 8) 8)
