My friend Emily's Maltese terrier Miso that I looked after for a week in June has died suddenly after eating a dog chew. She ate a branded chew and is now having an autopsy because she was in perfect health and apparently there are several law suits and 4000 or so complaints against them. Apparently a chemical similar to antifreeze has been found in the kibble and one of their other products. Again, I don't want to say something legally dubious but really wanted to warn people just in case. Those are all the details Emily gave me for now but maybe she will have more info after the autopsy. She is understandably devastated at the moment so don't want to quizz her too much. Edited by moderators to remove the name of the brand from the forum. However, here is some further information from another site that mentions the brand in question and discusses the use of propylene glycol in dog food:http://veterinarynews.dvm360.com/propylene-glycol-educate-yourself-and-your-veterinary-clients
