I have been working really hard with Harley on 2 things: 1. Not being reactive to certain dogs 2. Settling quicker when visiting people Today has been a really good day. On our walk we met with Jasper, a GSD we see a lot. Over the weeks Harley and Jasper have settled into playing nicely. Whilst they were playing the 2 spinones and pug we often see also came to play. For nearly an hour they played chase, in and out of the water, lying down for short periods. It was amazing to see them all play and Harley not being reactive at all, even when a collie walked right next to where she was stood (collie was on lead). Harley looked at the collie then looked towards Jasper and ran over to continue playing. Tea time we went to my mums for a barbie. Usually Harley is on her harness and lead for about half hour. I forgot the harness so she was on flat collar and lead. Within less than 5 mins she was off her lead and relaxed. My step dad cooked her a sausage and chicken which I hand fed whilst we were all eating. It was busy as my duster, her OH and my nephew came, along with my mum, step dad, older brother and a family friend. Harley didn't go near anyone's plates........only jumped on my step dad (unfortunately he encourages it!). We were there for over 3 hours and I didn't need to put her back on lead at all until we left. It has been a brilliant day and feels like our hard work is paying off
Great work Naya you really have tackled these training issues and are now reeping the rewards. Well done Harley xx
