Hi folks -- My name is Allen and I'm in the USA (Georgia). I have posted a few times here but really wanted to more closely monitor posts on this excellent forum. I looked at my notification settings and updated them so that I'll be notified daily. So much good info here and love the idea of a forum consisting of all lab owners! Had a question -- is there a place where everyone posts larger / higher resolution pictures of their labs? I haven't searched extensively for this. I do see that the pictures that's in the profile can be clicked but it doesn't show a larger image as I would like to see. Thanks and looking forward to reading more on this forum. -Allen
Re: Introducing myself Hi Allen and welcome to the forum. I have Lilly who was 4 in May and you can just about spot from the avatar that she is a black girl. We live in Scotland near St Andrews. We love pictures. Check out the Technical and help section about posting them. You need to upload to a host like photobucket or Flickr then copy a link on here. you can add your picture in this thread or maybe check out the "My walk......" thread. Loads of opportunities for pictures. Tell us more about your dog........ jac

Are you referring to photos of our labs in our avatars? (little pictures in our profiles and by our names when we post?) These are resized to fit a small area. I think a whos' who dog thread would be a nice idea though

Re: Introducing myself Hi there,I'm not sure if there is a setting to allow that...as a Moderator I should know :-[ I will find out...you can check all the new posts since your last visit by clicking at the top right hand corner 'posts since last visit ' on the Board Index page....You do get an alert if you get a Personal Message(PM) I'l send you a PM to test that now ;D
Re: Introducing myself Hey Allen if you go into your Profile then Modify Profile then Modifications I think you will find the settings you need to achieve what you've mentioned....let me know if you have any more problems X
Re: Introducing myself Dexter -- I did get your PM and I did modify my settings to 'allow users to email me' -- I already had notifications set up but hopefully the new change means I will get an email. I would like to know what you find out. Thanks much for your help. -Allen
Re: Introducing myself Wanted to once again thank everyone who sent me a message. I read and appreciated all of them. In response to my earlier comment, I was speaking of the Avatar and wishing that once you clicked on it a large picture of your pet would appear. Beanwood, I agree that a 'who's who dog thread' would be great. My black lab Bella is almost 9 months old and she's quite a handful. She was 16.5 pounds when we got her at about 8 weeks and now she weighs 70 pounds! I have many questions for you experts about dealing with a puppy who's full of energy and very feisty -- would enjoy comparing notes! One thing she loves to do is get something of value in our house and run away with it. My wife and I call her "Mrs. Snitch" -- I always laugh when she prances away with something she's not supposed to have -- she's so proud of herself! She's a joy! Will post pictures soon! Thanks again everyone! Allen
