is it ok to have 2 male dogs living together

 

It depends very much on the dogs, but in general, yes, there is no problem with two male dogs together. Do you have a male dog already and are looking to introduce another? A puppy or an adult?

 

I have two male Labradors, one is 10 one is 4. They have never had a fight, never growl at each other, the younger one will stand back if the older one wants a drink until the older one finishes

 

Since Labs and Golden Retrievers are quite similar in temperament, how about my neighbour who for years had two, plus two of her children each had one and often there were four dogs at her house. All males and all intact. They all got along well. You should have seen her walking all four, leashed, around our village, what a sight.

 

Agree, two males are rarely a problem , I`ve also had male and female mix but it can be tricky if one of them isn't neutered

 

I've always had multiple males together and they've all been fine.

 

Lab (and most gun dogs) were bred to get along with other dogs, so they tend to do better than some other breeds.
