Hello all, I have a 5 year old chocolate lab. She has always had skin on the drier side but just over the past few days the started losing fur on both sides of the base of her tail and one side is either licked raw or wondering if she has mange or allergies. I ordered her salmon oil and will me getting some medicated washes but just seeing what others might think of this. Thank you in advance.
I'm always of the opinion, when in doubt consult your trusted vet. If she has licked a raw spot I certainly wouldn't hesitate to get a professional opinion.
