Millie has been everso good re her wound, not bothered it at all but the area surrounding is driving her crackers , where she was shaved . Thankfully our Vet didnt go overboard in the shaving dept, but its very red and sore looking , any suggestions what I could put on it or is it best just left alone ?

Clipper rash is nasty and very very itchy. I would give your vet a call in the morning and get some topical prep for it such as Fuciderm. In the meantime a little bit of sudocrem might help, I would avoid calamine lotion as it may make things worse.

I use Aloe Vera gel for all these things and it seems to help alleviate the itching and cool the whole area down. My vet endorses it and it would certainly help until tomorrow morning and keep your dog comfortable - even if she does lick it off it won't do her any harm. Good luck with the post op follow up.

Thank you xx I found some sudacrem from when one of my grandbabies was here , gently put a little bit on and she has gone fast asleep , it must have taken the worst of the itch away x
Also got some Aloe Vera gel but have used the sudacrem now ::)
