It’s about another kind of choice too - the dog’s choice.

There’s nothing better than seeing a dog happily choose to be with you above any other activity available :)

I know it's not funny and I agree totally with the dogs choice, but I've seen Moo have a choice between good and evil and choose evil well the thing which pleaded her most:D I watch her often weigh things up then almost shrug and do what she wanted. So funny, irritating annoying yes but she's is just so alive and herself.as much as it was a problem it was so enlightening to her spirit and feelings. I did everything I could not to crush that spirit I did/do admire her up yours ging attitude. I've been brushing her old coat out and she's getting thin and so old, times gone so fast her crazy days are over ish.:) and I have such a deep love for her and I wonder if I had treated her differently she would be as happy as she clearly is. I was rubbish at being strict but for years it was just me and her doing stuff and finding away which pleased us both. I let her be and she trusted me.i think and have seen proof of her choice many times :D

I so get this -- I think that's why training Cassie feels like a compromise.
I quite agree as trainers we choose +R and by doing so allow the dogs to make a choice.

The perceived compromise really pays,. In the end you become more like dance partners or couples who know each others thoughts:D
