I wonder if anyone could help with this problem, I bet Kate can . My friend came round last night with her lovely 10 year old Jack Russell called Russell and he was very quiet, she said he was under the weather was vomiting blood clots and there was blood in his runny pooh. I asked had she taken him to the Vet and she said she would take him Monday. Very worried that she is not taking this seriously and may be putting his health at risk. Does anyone know what these symptoms could indicate? I know it's not Lab related but any information would be greatly received. I am very fond of Russell. Thanks Helen x
Re: Jack Russell Health Issue Sounds serious to me. I would contact the vet tomorrow and not leave it. jac
Re: Jack Russell Health Issue Sounds like a nasty infection going on, or could be something more serious Helen , the blood in runny poo could just be soreness but the vomitting of blood is to be taken very seriously , especially if he is under the weather too , if he were mine I would take a trip to the Vet before Monday , hope he is ok x
Re: Jack Russell Health Issue Thank you Kate and Jac, I have told her what you said and HOPEFULLY she is going to take him to the vet tomorrow. Helen x
Re: Jack Russell Health Issue Yes sounded like the sort of thing to get looked at earlier rather then later.
Re: Jack Russell Health Issue Thank you everyone for your replies and concern for Russell. I have just spoken to my friend and she said she had NOT even phoned the vet but Russell was eating and seemed better, still runny pooh but no blood in it and no more vomiting. Also mentioned that he had these symptoms a few months ago too. She said if it happens again she will take him to the vet. I am cross with her and feel for poor Russell Helen x
