Hi, I was wondering if anyone could offer me any tips on getting my 4 month old Labrador to stop jumping on the counters and tables. Thanks
Keep the pup out of areas where things that are reinforcing (ie food) can be found on counters and tables. Use stair gates. Crate whilst the family is eating. Distract the pup with something else any time they jump up to prevent the habit forming. If there is no reinforcement occurring for a behaviour, it will cease... Ask yourself where the reinforcer is... then remove it.
