Out walking with Lady yesterday and in the middle of a very large field she suddenly sat and focussed on something in the distance. She sits and stares when she spots something that she thinks is interesting. I looked and all I could see were a few seagulls. Thought it can't be them then way off in the distance and almost invisible I spot a Heron. I think dogs must have a very good ability to pick out motion because that's the only way she could possibly have seen this bird because it blended almost perfectly into the background.

Well spotted Lady. Yes, it must have been moving because I sometimes think dogs actually have poor eyesight for things that are stationary.
