hello. We have a new black lab and I don’t know how to keep him calm enough so our cats feel comfortable meeting him. Any suggestions?
Hi MrsArlos, Welcome to the forum! Make sure that the cats are able to get somewhere away from the dog if necessary, (baby gates are ideal) keep him on a leash for the first meeting and make sure you've got lots of tasty treats to distract his attention. You can find some tips for introducing puppies to cats here, but the same principles apply. Good luck and let us know how you get along!
