Hello can anyone help with my dog?so my dog alfie loves other dogs but only if they are smaller then him , but sometimes when he sees a do he will run over with happiness and howls really loud so the owner and the dog are terrified but alfie thinks that’s acceptable and tries to play after and he also gets in tiny dogs faces when they are scared which is annoying, does anyone know how to stop all of his behavior?

Put a leash on your dog.

Train your dog to return to you when you recall him.

That is the law, by the way. Dogs must be under control. If your dog will not recall to you, then he is not under your control and you are breaking the law - not to mention being a nuisance to other dog owners and dogs. If your dog will not recall, then you need a physical means of control. Which is called a leash.

    Jo is correct,

It’s not fair on the other dogs or even owners get yourself a long line ideally, I call it a dog break the dog thinks it’s off the lead but isn’t really because you have 10 meters on him I always use it when I’m in new places that Bruce doesn’t know.
