Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I'm sure there's a few experts on here that can cast some light on my problem I have 2 labs a 3 year old yellow female we bought as a pup which is fine and a 2 year old black female we bought from a rescue the black rescue was around 3 months old when we collected I believe the owners gave up on her for being to much work as we got her settled we found she was no problem at all (didn't even chew anything!) Socialised her as normal and taught her the basic dog tricks all going well untill around 12 months old then started to develop a fear of other dogs on local walks barking pulling towards them and occasionally slipping through the net for the odd chase never any biting just a lot of noise it's now at the point I have to walk them alone on the moorlands out the way also she barks at any noise outside cars, people, everything! Been to see 2 behaviourists and didn't really get the best advice to cut a long story short we have a 10 month old daughter which they all get on fine but the aggression came before the baby with no clue on the cause can anyone help with similar issues training socialising help etc. . . . Any help much appreciated thanks.

Hi Trixie, welcome to the forum :)

This article on our main site has information about training reactive dogs.

I'm sorry you haven't had much luck with behaviourists. Someone who can meet your girls in person might still be best placed to help the younger one - your vet might be able to recommend someone specifically, and you can ask behaviourists working in your area for references from previous dog owners with similar problems who they have worked with in the past.

Good luck, let us know how you get on!
