Hi I have a 13 week old Labrador puppy and he seems a bit haphazard on his paws but in particular occasionally on his left back paw he will hold it up and then kick his left paw out and start licking it - the first time I thought he had stood on a stinging nettle but it keeps happening mostly when he comes in from the garden he’s on a leash and we have two small steps up to the back door which he sometimes misjudges / has anyone had this problem and should I be worried?
It does sound like something like a stinging nettle or a thorn or similar - have you checked his paw to be sure there's nothing sticking in it?
