Has anyone seen this before? My labradors pads have been turning pink and ripping. This happens intermittently, we have had numerous trips to the vets which have included allergy tests etc. All allergens have been removed from his diet and yet it is still happening and the vets dont know why. Its heart breaking and im at a loss...
This happened this morning and now he wont put pressure on it

Sounds painful for your poor dog.

Has he been running/skidding on a hard rough surface, road, path etc?

One of my fosters lost the surface of her pads on all four feet, the first day she arrived. My vet thought it was due to the Lab only being on carpeting and deep grass with very little exercise prior to being given up. She had spent the afternoon playing with my Lab retrieving tennis balls when the pink pads underneath became exposed.

Hi,this happened several times to our lab and our vet thought it was because we were walking her on the pavements. We usually walked at the park on grass but because she was in season we couldn't do the usual walk.
