This isnt something I have trained into Sam , heaven knows I`m not that clever :) But have noticed over the past couple of months or so that when he sees or scents something interesting, he will adopt the three legged stance, one front leg raised and then he leans forward and points, only lasts for a minute or so but it looks like a point to my amateur eyes , just wondering if this is common amongst Labs ?

Hattie has always done this and she is a Labradoodle, and not trained to do so either. She does it as much as Charlie who is a

Lady will stand and stare into the distance if she thinks she's seen something. Dogs seem geared up to detect motion. She doesn't point though.

Lilly does the pointing thing in the hedgerow when she's snuffling about. Not particularly for distance movements though. Thing she has done it from quite young.
