Guys and girls can someone link me to good quality leather collars and matching leads for my dogs for our walks please ?

They don't wear collars when working but I like to walk them on collars so any help is appreciated

We got quite a nice set from Scats. The stitching on the collar has lasted quite well but finally gave up the ghost after one too many swims.....
as if there is such a thing. The lead still looks like new though ::)

I buy Orvis fabric collars - mainly because I can have Charlie's details on them so don't need tags (which drive me a bit batty).

I drool over the leather collars and leads on the website though - so mention them just in case they were the type of thing you were looking for - but have resisted on the basis I need practicality in terms of throwing things in washing machines (and they are a bit steep!).

I've always used rolled leather ones as they mark the coat less

Yes they fit 16 - 26 inches, but maybe read some of the reviews as they can indicate sizing issues. Do you have Orvis in Ireland?

I too am looking for new collars, ours looking shabby. Have always bought Leather but not sure whether to swap to nylon for easy cleaning but I am always a bit worried about the strength of the plastic snap closure devices. Has anyone got any ideas keeping in mind Hattie's shaggy coat ::)

Helen, my spaniels have always been mud magnets so I use fabric collars for easy cleaning... even when their coats have been long and they have been full-on rugs rather than dogs, I have never had a plastic buckle catch in their coats or break.

I'm loving the look of those leather collars, mind. This forum is helping me develop a serious shopping habit...

Do you realise the collar/lead sets not available so you will have to purchase separately at a cost of £25 per collar and £35 per lead

Yep but they should last a bit I hope

The canvas ones on there are £20 for the waterproof ones

My dogs don't wear them for work in case they get caught up and choked

Just to add to the agony of selection.

As I can’t add a link, google "Ann Rees" she can make whatever you want in loads of different colours.

Whilst they are a bit pricey, they do last a lifetime of use and very easy to clean.
